I am working with a buying house (service provider ). I have a query when we purchase other country currency for travelling purpose . Do we need to deduct TDS on those invoice ?  What do we need to treat this as a service or as a purchasing ?

Quick Summary
This discussion explores whether Tax Deducted at Source (TDS) needs to be applied when purchasing foreign currency from a dealer for travel purposes. The core question is whether this transaction should be classified as a service or a purchase, as this classification impacts TDS obligations. Participants debate the applicability of TDS, with some suggesting it's not required as it's considered a service, while others question this, given that services typically attract TDS.

TDs need not be deducted...it is service
No TDS applicability on currency purchase from dealer

if it is services then why we do not deduct TDS on that ? while services need to deduct TDS

On all services we don't deduct tds.🙈it's like saying to Mc Donals you are giving service I will deduct tds.😝
