How to change date of deposit of tax while preparing correction statement of TDS return by using NSDL RPU? In regular statement I haev mistakely entered date of deposit & date of deuction as same date.

get the consolidated TDS statement from nsdl by loging on with ur registered TAN no. Open the consolidated statement in RPU by clicking on import consolidated TDS/TCS file and select the consolidated file from the folder were u have saved it .In the annexure I there is a option called updation mode for deductees there u can modify the date of deposit & date of deduction...............

I have tried annexure I updation but it only gice access me to change date of payment & date of deduction. In my case I have deducted tds on 31/07/2012 & paid salary on 31/07/2012 & paid tds for it on 03/08/2012. but in regular statement I have mentioned date of deposit as 31/07/2012. PLease help me it's really urgent.

Dear Vinayak While updating it select modification without updating TAN it will help you to modify.

firstly check your challan status in RPU 3.1 UTILITY that challan is matched or not
is challan not matched then modify date of deposit of challan from challan entry and file return return
auditor sekar

The following is the proceedure to solve your problem. In downloaded consolidated file make the following changes
1) Delete the row.
2) Again add the row and type the original particulars.
3) In Annexure Map the Assessees to the rectified challan.
That's all.
After three days again download the consolidated file. You may the challan will be corrected and found matched. (RED SHADE WILL NOT BE THERE IN THIS FILE)
