TDS Section in ITNS 281 was incorrectly mentioned- instead of 194C , 194J was quoted .
So Will there be any mismatches in TDS return since on filing TDS return we will show it as 194C only.
Is there any method to clear, whether Bank can revise challan.
If yes, whether Date of payment also get revised & get into Late deposit.
To rectify worngly deposit of TDS in different section then 1st option: Bank has power to rectify but with in certain specified time, as per my knowledge it is like 24hr.
Other than that Assessing power has power to rectify twice for a challan.
To rectify assesee should write a letter to income tax dept TDS ward in a standard format.

Sub: Request for Correction and/or rectification of Section in TDS challan.
Sir,
This is to inform you that we had deducted TDS of Rs xxx/- (xx) u/s 194A pertaining to the month of Feb’2014 but at the time of online payment of the said amount the section was wrongly selected as 194I instead of 194A.
We, therefore, request you to kindly make the necessary correction in your records. We are also enclosing a photocopy of the said challan.
We regret for our inadvertent mistake.

BUT YOUR MUST DEDUCTE AND DEPOSIT GROSS TDS AS YOU ARE LIABLE
