Tds certificate download by deductee

It can't be downloaded BUT if you can view the deducted amount in your 26AS...that should be O.K.

Then you need not insisit for form 16 / 16A.

person/deductor who has resgistered himself  on traces website can download TDS certificate

As far as I am aware only deductor can download 16A from TRACES, deductee (taxpayer/assessee) can only view or download Form 26AS but not 16A. If anyone has been able to download 16A from TRACES can they please provide detailed instructions, that would be very helpful.

In before admision of TRACES Form 16A/16 can be viewed from e-filling website of I.T. Department after loging in by one Individual in the page 26AS after entering unique TDS certificate no. but  this facilities is not avaliable in  TRACES now. Hope they will added this facalities in near future.

Form 26 AS, downloadable on TRACES, provides TDSdata, but the ITR forms still have a column requiring you to fill in unique TDS certificate number which can be obtained only if the deductor diligently sends the Form 16A to the deductee.

So, provided TAN number and other Form 26A information is entererin the ITR form, can the TDS Cert number column be left blank ? I see no way in which the deductee can download this info.
