TDS 26QB Correction of Payment Date

TDS 148 views 1 replies

Hi,

I filled form 26-QB with an incorrect date of payment (selected 2023 instead of 2024) and got a huge penalty as a result. I requested a correction and submitted documents to the AO. My application was rejected due to incomplete documents. I visited the office, but could not find out what document I was missing. Before I re-apply, I'd like to seek this forum's help to see what documents I could be missing. Here are the documents I submitted initially:

  1. Indemnity Bond Notarised
  2. Copy of Challan & Form 26QB originally filed
  3.  Bank Statement Reflecting the Transaction of 26qb payment.
  4. Copy of PAN and Aadhaar
  5. Form 26QB Correction Acknowledgment
