A software company charged service tax and VAT in bill for a software purchase? Whether TDS has to be deducted on it ? I think No beacuse it's a purchase for us and company is also charging VAT on it . What's ur point ?

If any software making company , customise there software or added any additional feature's as per your business requirement, In that case they charged Service Tax @ 12.36% for there service, Tds will be deducted u/s 194J on total software value, if the software value inclusive of there customization service & no seperiate bill is raised for there above service.
