Taxes on sale of app through app store

Dear Akash @ Instead of Google Playstore if you have own playstore or using any payment gateway or bank account to received the money then service tax is applicable when your turnover cross 9 lac in a Year. 

you have to just only pay income tax. so if your business or startup is not registered then as Sole Proprietorship firm apply for the service tax registration certificate & open a current bank account.

But as per the rules vat is also applicable on app development and selling of packaged software.App also comes under the definition of packaged software.The vat rate will be as per the respective state laws. Can you check and confirm? Would request you to check also also for excise....
