Taxation for mutual funds

Recently, as per sebi guide line, fundamental attributes and name of the debt and equity Mutual fund are getting changed. In such case, if currently I am long term holder of the scheme, after change in name / fundamental attributes whether still my investment will be treated as long term investment or  for debt fund again 3 years period will be required to get benefits of long term taxation.
