Taxability of ex gratia payment made by Government PSU to heirs of employee on his death.
Can anyone tell me whether this Circular No. 573, F.No. 200/115/90-ITA-I, dated 21-08-1990 and No. 776, dated 8-6-1999 is applicable for Current FY or not

Both the above circulars are still valid. Income-tax website circular filter section doesn’t mark them as superseded, deleted or withdrawn.
