17 February 2019We sold land in Nov'18 and which would be eligible for LTCG. Now when we approached CA to file Tax return in Feb'18, he says that the ITR portal is not allowing for tax filing right now and tax return can be filed only after Mar'19. Is it correct what the CA says?
Are we not supposed to pay any advance tax before Mar'19. Land was under my father's name who is retired with no pension so only income that has is from fixed deposits.
Appreciate any advice.

ITR can be filed after end of financial year. Long term capital gain is exempt from tax in certain condition. CA umesh kumar- 9717597230

If my Father wants to pay the advance tax on sale of land then how it can be done. Which form has to be used? As per CA IT portal is not allowing to pay advance tax even.

If Tax liability after TDS is more than 10,000/- advance tax should be paid to save interest under section 234B and 234C. advance tax can be paid online in challan 280. https://onlineservices.tin.egov-nsdl.com/etaxnew/PopServlet?rKey=-533951772
