Tax filing for senior citizens

Hi I Need a clarification. I need to help a seniorr citizen to file his IT . He is 79 yrs and has a Tax exemption upto 3 Laks. His Total income from  Pension ( 2,65,000) and Interest earned (65,000) is Rs 3,30,000 for last year.  So I am  doing Efiling using ITR -1 , what should the Salary from Income/Pension should be.  Should I deduct the 3 lak from  3.3 lak and take just 30,000 as his taxable salary ?. Bcoz in the form I am not seeing any section where I can  put this 3 lak exemption to deduct it .   Actually I just tried putting only 30.000 as his Salary but the IT comes as 0 though I felt it should have calculated 10% tax + 3% edu cess. Please clarify. Thanks

Please use the full figures, do not do any decuctions, the sheet will do it automatically.

Thanks Very much. Yes I used ITR 1. I noticed  Rebate 87A takes care of reducing the tax for those falling under 5 Lakh  bracket and that too care.
