no

No TDS is required to be made on re-imbursement

not deducted and the logic is Reimbursment is not an income.

No TDS is required to be made on re-imbursement

hi ..

can any one help me ..

is tds to be deducted on the medical advance given to employee

Medical advance is not a part of salary, TDS is deducted on Gorss salary ( after deduction Under chapter VIA), and it should be given to the employer in near  future or adjusted against salary, so TDS is not deducted on medical advance.

Reimbursement cannot be deducted out of the bill amount for the purpose of tax deduction at source.

Dear Friend,

Please note if reimbursement of expenses to employee THAN NO TDS.

if reimbursement of Expenses to contractor. - Since Section 194C refers to “any sum paid”, if the bill contains reimbursement of expenses also, the TDS is applicable on the reimbursements also. [Circular No.715 dt.8-8-1995]. However, if there are separate bills for contract payments and reimbursement of expenses, then, TDS is not required to be made on reimbursement of expenditure.

Thanks

Praveen
