Yes, Yes, Yes........ How many times it should be requested and how many reasons one should require to extend. Take the following are few genuine reasons:
1.Govts. un preparedness in implementing the GST and un timely implementation. It should have been implemented after Tax audits are over.
2.Debugging of GST software has not been done in consultation with domain experts. For ex. the freezing point after submit should be inserted after off set liability because of which lakhs of returns are pending which cannot be filed after faulty submission and can not rectified.
3.Formats and Reports concerning the ICDS information modified very late.
4.Last date GSTR 2 for July also falls on 31st Oct which is a herculeane task to submit atleast one return per day.
5.Compliance of ROC returns and filing work
6.Full of festive seasions
7.Non co operative nature every where , every city sub merged during first two weeks of oct.
8.Almost all tthe tax audits assesses should have been paid advance taxes, in such a case what is proble of govt to extend , Whether it is interested in collecting in penalties.
For extending if the govts wants so many reasons why cnanot it give a single reason for not extending the due date.
Even after President's request for extension, instead of saying yes or no it is sending messages to the assesses as "most urgent file your tax audit returns by 31st oct." so that assesses can creat pressure on the auditors.
I feel a sort of un declared emergency is prevailing all over the country.
