Tax applicability
Dear Concern,
we are providing machinery on hire charges, and the service receiver lost our machine. in this case we can charge service tax on the lost machine or sale tax

Service Tax is charged, when there is any service and in this case there is no service.
Sales tax is charged when there is transfer of ownership, but there is no transfer of ownership.
