TAN surrender application attachment error

I am trying to submit application for surrender of duplicate TAN, since 2 applications were uploaded for same company & hence 2 TAN's were alloted. When I attach TAN allotment letter of TAN to be surrendered in pdf, I keep on getting the error message- 'Please upload a standard document'.

PDF file size is 696 KB & name as no special characters.

Also, same file was converted to JPG with file size of 312 KB.

I didn't find any guidelines of standard document format.

Your help shall be welcome.

It may be some temporary technical issue.

I found below Extract from instruction to fill the FORM:

"Applicant may submit the TAN allotment letter received from Income Tax Department as a proof of TAN. In case the applicant does not have TAN allotment letter, he can submit a printout of TAN details using TAN search facility provided at www.incometaxindia.gov.in or www.tin-nsdl.com"

you may also try uploading the print out of TAN details using search facility.

Or else you may raise your query at Complain & Queries section of TIN-NSDL portal for any technical support.
