can anyone respond pls...having the same error during 26Q validation

anyone have solution

Use only Chrome browser to open link and download csi file from tan based view.

Firefox and edge don't work well with government sites.

This error is occured due to payment of challans at oltas site and from income tax site, where as the utility accepts challan from oltas site but the update to accept CSI paid from income tax site is yet to come. So we cannot due except to wait for the update. But can make a way out for this that we can file the TDS return considering deductee data of only those challan paid via oltas to avoid any kind of penalty. And for the rest we can continue to post query for the same until solution is out.

Dear Sir/Madam, I am facing a big issue at the time of filling e-TDS Return for FY 2022-23 (Q3) Please someone help me.

I am using RPU 4.5, FVU 8.0, JAVA 8u351

CSI File Downloaded from Incometax portal can't generate Nither FVU File nor 27A Form. also no Popup, no errors.

According to a previouis post on this site portal,

I had Downgrade JAVA to 7u80. but on that Version of JAVA it is not supporting IncomeTax portal's CSI file. one Error Generated and error detail is  "please use CSI from NSDL Site" I cant download & Use csi from NSDL, Because My Payment was made on Incometax Portal. which is not displaying on NDSL Portal.

Hello Eti,

TDS payment through income tax portal started recently and before that, maximum persons tried to pay through NSDL portal which was the only portal to make TDS payment. What you can do is as workaround that you need to download csi file for any of the past period from NSDL portal i.e. period in which they have made payment through NSDL (whether or not that period within TDS return quarter that we have taken up for filing). Use that csi file to generate fvu file. Use that fvu file to upload on income tax portal for TAN login.

Generally, if there is mismatch in challan between csi file (downloaded from NSDL since it belongs to different period) and challan as per return data, system will also generate "Electronic_Statement_Warning_File.H T M L" file containing details of such mismatch alongwith fvu file. You just need to ignore that H T M L file and no need to worry if your challan data in TDS return is correct as per actual challan (which you have paid through income tax portal).

In case if you haven't paid TDS on NSDL portal anytime in past, all you can do is to make TDS payment of Rs.1 through NSDL portal using their TAN details, and wait for 4-5 days to get that payment reflect in NSDL OLTAS records. Now, download csi file after 4-5 days and use it in the same as mentioned above.

I understand that this is an error on income tax portal and would be rectified in future but for the current filing, you can try abovementioned workaround.

Regards,

Manoj

THIS IS CORRECT

Thanks but this does not solve the problem. If I use old Challan file.... I get this error.

T-FV-3175 Either you are using old FVU version or old challan file (i.e. .csi file), please use the latest FVU version and challan file available at www.tin-nsdl.com and validate the file.

The people at tin_returns have no clue really on how to solve the problem, I have been trying to explain to them earlier error which was solved by following these steps - https://www.caclubindia.com/forum/rpu-not-creating-fvu-file-593415.asp

Anyone any solution?

Hi ,

I have followed Manoj sir given steps and my TDS return has done successfully for FY 2022-23 -Q3 period.

Please download past period CSI file  From tin-nsdl website and upload  CSI file, your return will be generate FUV file. then upload return.

Thank you Manoj Sir,

regards,

Sachin

I downloaded the last quarter CSI again, and it worked. I was using the previously saved CSI which was giving error. Thanks
