is Service tax deducted on single residential unit in case of subletting for residential purpose and sub letter is not a real estate agent

Renting (or sub-letting) of Residential unit for the purpose of residence, is exempted from service tax. So, no service tax liability in this case.

What do you mean by service tax deducted ?
Can u explain.

I mean to say is there a liability to deduct TDS in such a case
