It is ur wish and depends on your preprations...My advice would to give more focus to Group1 of ipcc as it consists tougher and hardcore subjects(namely costing, tax, etc.) cos the reason is that in ipcc u can join articles after passin grp.1...once ur grp.1 is cleared, u can clear ur grp.2 which contains relatively subjects even durin ur articles without affectin ur final attempt.
u should register for both group.but concentrate more on group 1 than group 2.even if u r not prepared for group 2 than also make a attemp for group 2 also in exams.......ALL THE BEST
is there any chance that i can pass both groups easily togetherin such a short time?imean do i have timeto prepare properly for both groups as i am givin ipcc in may 2010 n it is already august end now?pls reply thnx
I am an IPCC student going to appear in november,2009 for both the groups. You have more time than what we have in our hands to prepare as it is new for all.I would suggest to opt for both the groups.Don't worry you will crack the Exam
even i m going to give my exam on may 2010......my classes teacher had told me to get mentally prepared for both group.....but concentrate more on group one....so that after passing it we can enroll for articleship....but do not mean ki we will take group 2 optional.we have to give equall level of time to group 2.but 1st priority is group 1.......we have to pull our schocks from now only.its hardly 8 moths left for our exam....so regular study is must.complete ur yllabus acc to ur classes only/...because if we leave anything for tomorrow it will be burden for us....... so get mentally prepared for 2 group only......but concentrate more on group 1.........please check the idea listed below.it has been given by one of the CA from this site only......and ALL THE BEST.........
TIPS TO IMPROVEYOUR MEMORY
1.Take tests - Why do we push things into memory. Because, we would like to recall it when the need arises. How do you know you will be able to recall when you need it? Simple, Take tests periodically and makes repeated attempts in recalling. Regular recall improves memory.
2.Take breaks - If you have 3.5 hours to read, break it into 4 parts: 45 minutes followed by a 5 to 10 minute break. Studies indicate that you can't concentrate for more than 45 minutes.
3.Sleep on it - What you review immediately before going to sleep is what your brain will most quickly and efficiently file away. So review just before sleep.
4.Relax -The Thinking Brain functions best when you are relaxed and free from stress.
5.Reading habits - Read out loud; don't bother if it disturbs others at home. Walk while you read; don't bother if it disturbs your others at home.
6.Draw charts. Write and rewrite key ideas and formula.
7.Use flash cards - Flash cards facilitate constant review and instantly help to check output. Rules, principles, formulae should all go into it.
8.Revision - You should revise shortly after the learning period. At first, say within 10 minutes after learning and then, again, within the next 24 hours. The reason: when you finish learning, the brain has not had enough time to organise and store everything. It needs a few minutes to store, organise and integrate the data. Studies show that 82% of what you learn today can be forgotten in 24 hours if you do not make a special effort to remember it.
9.Interest is the mother of attention and attention is the mother of memory.
10.The best way to remember is to repeat; and the best way to repeat is to “teach” some one else.
