Members of the NGO participating in a Adventure programme( trekking) organised by the NGO on payment of fees. 1. Is it liable to Service tax ? Who has to pay the ST ,
2. if yes than what is the rate of tax?
NGO is already registered with STAX and paying ST on its membership fees.

Trekking is not specifically exempted from Service tax . SO needs to pay service tax.
Normally provider has to pay service tax unless it in mentioned in reverse charge.
at the rate of 14% since there is no abatment
