Is there any stamp duty involved in increasing the Authorised Capital of a Private Limited Company having registered office in Chennai? What if the regd. office is in Mumbai?

if register office is in Mumbai,Yes a company has to pay a stamp duty If it is in Chennai then it is depend on the stamp Act of that state

The stamp duty for increase of Authorised Share Capital is the respective state stamp Act of the state where the Registered office of the Company is situated

stamp duty is Rs.1000 for every 500000 or part thereof and at the time of Increase u have to pay only difference amount of stamp duty.

so now u can calculate

Rate of stamp duty is INR 1000 for each INR 500000.
