Dear All,

Can any body guide me for the following :

1) On change of name of the company should the service tax (CE) dept be informed, if yes how and should the ST-2 from be changed or will the ST-2 hold good with out the change in it ?

2) Please guide me about new 14 digit STC No. and how to apply for it.?

3) Please guide me about e-filling of ST returns and payments - procedure ?

Form ST1 clearly has the provisions, that whenever there is a change, it has to be notified. You have to surrender your ST2 along with an application stating there in the change to be incorported, You may need to fill up ST1 again and submit the name change documents The 14 digist STC number is nothing but your PAN No and prefix ST001 001 will change when you apply for a separate category of services and will become 002 rest 12 digit wil not change. You have to apply for E-Payment procedure for this visit the site www.cbec.gov.in It has all the desired informtaion of doing e-payment. But E-payment is required when you are paying more than 50lacs payment ( Cenvat Credit utilisation is not accounted in 50 lacs) If you want I will add the file to the site in respect of e-filing guidelines
