ST on Take away food

On 27.05.2016, CBEC has issued a clarification in 'The Indian Express' and it says that, "....Takeaways or home delivery from AC restaurants also attract service tax at the same rate."

I must say that a great question. Though the whole industry is confused by such a question , thatsy experts advice them to charge ST to protect themselves from unnecessary litigations, and the whole industy following till date. Though thatsy there is significant need for GST.
