You are right,

Court quasshed ICAI aplication and ordered ICFAI  not to be involved in acounting regulation , it is ICAI to take care of. Hence , ICFAI was converted in to University not an institute liek ours ICAWI or CA.

ICAI is always made party concerned for accounting functions in India .

It does reflect whole CA fraternity including ICAI.

A ignorant  Individual will still think of himself or herself on the terms of being represented by 'Charters'. Republics do not give 'Charters'. An Act of Parliament is 'equavalent' of 'Charter' and much more. So let there be no 'Charter' in this country.

ICAI should be renamed as ICA only - 'of India' should be deleted if they want 'Chartered'.

There  are thousands of  termonologies even since mughal empire  or british empire prevailing inInda, should we start cleaning these in current days?

Meaning Chartered is same as An act of parliament, So you have no things to do with meaning of Chartred, but you only hates the word.

It is ICWAI Demand , like ICAI dont want "Management "  ICWAI dont want 'Chartered" . Accept  both the demands . chartered becomes registered and  "Management"   Cost.  Happy

As well as other words are concerned they do not remind Coloniel past .  I appeal to you to join us in this august cause and remove this term which has no meaning as such in independent India

if ICWAI objects the term 'CHARTER' you have problem. If ICWAI use the MANAGEMENT tag u have problem. ITS PRESTIGE ISSUE.

Think  there are thousand of institutions containing the 'MANAGEMENT' in their name icluding IIM. Why ICAI is not objceting. Becasue ICAI knows its true competitor. Hence the opposition.

But the " Management " does reflect domain or area or scope.

Mr Rajat, Do'nt you feel instead of  ICWAI; ICAI & its all members should change themselves to save our country. Is'nt true that in every accounting fraud its CA members behind them. (Discussed in parliament too).

If the tag MANAGEMET reflects domain of area, why not ICAI objecting for other institutions. 

Request to put opnion as true professional. Not that since ICAI council is doing , that members too have follow that.

Other institutions do not  ask govt to be regulated and to have public attestations authority.Like IIM or any ones.

I am totally agrred with you that CA's are inloved in mal practices, please can we punish whole professional. 

We need to eradicate all the anomolies and strict action should be taken against such members.

Thyey are educational and professioanl institutions .But ICWAI is regulator of Cost accounting.

ICAI is not objecting managemnet tag , it says management should not be regulated by one Instution even not by ICAI.

We should respect both profesional , but ICWAI should respect ICAI and protect and promote the same.

On the other hand ICAI should also promote development and growth of ICWAI>

Now the issue is in lok sabha , let see what our honorable MP's decide. However we are trying to  convince Majority of the parliamentarians  to drop the word " Chartered" and add the word "Management"  . Even if we succeeded in achieving half off the goal , I 'll be satisfied . All the best to you in your future endure.

Mr. Gupta, not only all power must be given to ICAI, We must draft a ACT in which ICAI have solo power to choose Prime Minister, Prisedent, Cheif Justice of India, Cheif election Commisioner (Will be not requried, as ICAI has power to elect) Cheif Minister of all States and Governer etc.
not only this Presedent of ICAI must given power poss any ACT even without any discussion at Parliament.

some of fields of Social life has already taken by ca's. No need to more power.
