Signature of a CA on the exam application form

That is not proof of identity... It is the CA certifying that you have completed articleship period necessary to appear in CA Final exam.... The Articleship completion form should be a good substitute....

its just formalities and nothing provided by ICAI.bcoz something is to be there that made ur form some formal, as ur entered in professional world.

& sign for just that any CA knows u, u are not a fraud identity.

Well, there is a FROM A & B on the exam forms of those pursuing articleship. ie - PCC & CA Final students....... It is a declaration that the articleship period required for appearing in the exam has been completed and no excess leave has been taken..... N for CPT students, it is a Photo attestation ie - Any CA or a Member of ICAI can do it... They are totally different things... And there is NO SIGN REQUIRED for PCC 7 FINAL students if they have completed their articleship..... N if you say that it is just formalities, then EVERY FORMALITY AHS A LOGIC BEHIND IT......

Please have a look at the exam forms of PCC & CA FINAL ayush.....Sarah is absolutely correct when she says she ll be enclosing the copy of articleship completion........

 HI ALL, I have completed my articles. Then should i get my EXAM FORM B signed by any CA or only from my Principal.... becoz Form B has place where they ask Signature of the Principal

JUST FORMALITIES YAAR... NOTHING ELSE

Well, if you done with your articles, you dont need SIGN of any CA... Just attach your 108 with the form..That should be enough....

guys, i have given my previous attempt of pe2 and i had not got my form signed by any C.A. instead i got it signed by a gazette officer. Carefully read the form, you will see there is attestion requirement by a Gazette officer or a CA....................... it is just a formality

 

 

Sarha i would just like to say that the requirement to get ur form signed by the principal under which u have persued C.A is a bit too demanding requirement in form 'B',the intitute should allow the Aricle completion certificate as a substitute, but attestation of a form by a C.A or a gazated officer proves ur credibility and identity.

I am totally agree with Sarah. When Institute has all the details of a student registered under it, what is the need of a sign. of any C.A. Especially a student who has completed his articleship & appearing for C.A. Final should not be asked to go to any C.A. & request him for signature. In this process the study time of the students gets unnecessarily wasted. First he has to go institute to bring the form, then submit this form, take xerox of the certificates reqd to be attached with the form, then go to the bank & draw a DD, (there one has to waste at least 1 hour), after that go to any C.A. office leaving all your study aside. CA's are usually not available in the office during afternoons, and if he is available there is no guarantee that he will be ready to sign your form if he dosen't know you. So go to other office. After getting signature of to C.A. institute for submission of forms where you will find a long quque. And one know the staff of the Institute.

All this should be stopped & institute should allow online submission of forms & online payment (which institute has started recently but it is not working properly - I could not get myself registered for Nov. exam; Please provide me a link for the same). The benefit of is that there will no paper work, saving in labour effort in printing,distributing & collecting the forms & off course cost involved in it.). Students can save exam form fees. Anyway, Let's see what happens!

The main purpose of getting the signature of a CA on the exam application form is mentioned just above the CA signature box. In that it is clearly mentioned that, the attesting CA certifies the Photograph of Student and his signature...this is just to make sure that the student is not sending any proxy person to appear in the exam....

Earlier when ICAI conduct Entrance Test it was the liberty of candidates to get signature on Examination form either from Gazatted Officer or C.A. but this time they required signature from its member only for security reason.

In my opinion institute have to take another action for remove this type of procedure because there are % of faliour student are so high that they does not try to get sign from CA time to time.
