Should ICAI's student section be brought under HRD ministry

so as to clip its wings that a bunch of goons wont be able to jeopardise the future of thousands with their vested interest. i am not saying the entire autonomy should be snatched; but the BOS and the training and examination section should be regulated by CG just like IIm. Even if this happens; things like quota system wont harm its output as it is a correspondence course and is not like IIM

 Hi Jose!

Beware of any such move. If CA course also comes under the HRD, then:

  • Reservations will have to be made in the number of students passing the CA course
  • CA is probably the biggest professional course in India wherein a student's caste/creed/religion or gender does not matter, but only talent & hard work matters. If the HRD ministry takes over, well, just for a joke, regulations may come in like: SC/ST students are exempted from giving some papers, 27% of students passing out in each attempt should belong to OBCs, a certain leader will remark that articleship is against a community, those falling under a certain caste & creed are exempt from articleship and all that.
  • So, east or west, we are safe under the institute where atleast only the genuine talent is recognized and there are no other parameters to judge a CA
  • Even if articles are getting salary less than peon, atleast we all are on a common platform.

Happy to be under the ICAI because all are equal here. There is no bias. Even if all the articles suffer, atleast its for our betterment.

Let the CA Course be free of any Politics & Reservations.

Regards,

Arjun

N.b: The above written lines are just in a lighter vein & not intended to hurt the sentiments of any of our CA brothers, sisters & friends belonging to any community, caste, creed or region in India. But, please understand the spirit of what i intend to say.
