Should i quit ca at final level?

I am in CA Final...When I joined CA I was a person who NEVER failed (70% + scores in highschool and 65% in college).. I also cleared my CPT in first attempt. but than the failures started with PCC.. It took me 2 attempts to clear it. Now at Final level I failed in last novermber exams. And my current exams are also not going so well.. Being a person who was successful in past as far as academics are concerned I am feeling very difficult to cope with these failures. Most of my friends have already left CA and started pursuing something else and they have been very successful in what they are pursuing.. I too have started pursuing CFP-cm & I have already cleared 2 out of 5 exams.. The reason for considering to leave CA are as under

1. Constant failures.

2. good corporates (example: torrent) are specifically demanding first attempt passouts as a minimum criteria for employability.. This has raised my doubts. How successful in career I will be if I pass CA but with multiple attempts ?

3. My parents are very supportive but I somehow feel like I am disappointing them with my performance.

4. I am on a success streak with CFP-cm cleared 2 exams without any re-attempts. Should I focus on it & complete the same instead of spending time on CA where I am on a Failure streak

According to me you should complete your final..irrespective of the negative thinking that only first attempt pass students are sucessfull in there life and getting jobs in MNC.

See for getting the job you must posses the following qualities irrespective of no. of attempts.

1. Good Communication wrriten & oral.

2. Good work exposure in Accounts Taxations & Finance & auditing

3. SAP & ERP knowledge (MNC are not working of small packages)

4. Make your self updated (read ecnomics times, CA Journal, etc..

5. Do some meditation to improve your concentration power which is very helpful in study.

& see lots of people who passed CA in multiple attempts but they are still leading..famous names are Our ICAI past president Mr. Subash Agarawal, Jhujhunwala (indian warren buffet & top 10 rich men in india),  Aditya Birla ( Birla Group Chariman), Deepak Parekh (HDFC Chairman) and above all Thomas alva Edison who discovered Bulb he failed 1000 times during his experiment to discover bulb but he never quit..and finally he discover bulb...which is enligtning our lifes...so do not quite...study in smart way....and you will emerge as winner....smiley

I know a bhaiyaa who was All india topper in 12th standard. he got failed in his cpt for 5 times and now he is in London and his salary for an year is 1 crore INR. Quitter never wins & winner never quits.. All the best

Hi ronak, Final level pe aakar piche mat hato. Aur aisa kuch nahi hai corporates final first me clear karne valo ko hi lete hai. Itna yaad rakhna mere dost is duniya me konwledge ki value hai aur tumhre paas knlwledge hoga to tum kuchbhi karsakte ho. Apne past president A.P.J. Abdul kalam ke paas kaun si degree thi. He was just having knowledge and curiosity. Be bold aap ku

Don't write exams with quitting at the back of your mind.

Passing at the first attempt is not all. When you go for interview for your first job some organisations do consider the number of attempts. But as you progress in you career, it is what you make out of opportunities and how well you perform in your work that counts heavily.

The professional courses demand high level of knowledge. Many who excel in academics stumble at professional exams.

Decide first what you want to do. Don't compare yourself with others and take your decision.

after 3-4 yrs u wont even write CA in fornt of ur name :) people will srt recognising u w.r.t  work and not qualification

Never quit, brother.

Agar dono group mushkil lag rahe hai, to ek group pahle do. Pass hone ke baad dusra group dena. Aur saath saath jo bhi course karna chahte ho, vo karo. Lekin quit karoge, to itne saalon ki mehnat ke liye koi degree nahi hogi. Thik hai, knowledge hoga, but degree also matters initially.

Dont be disappointed, aapke jaise bahut saare students fail ho chuke hai, mai bhi fail ho chuka hun. Par iska matlab ye nahi ki hum quit kare.

Discuss with yourself- Mere paas ab kya option hai, kaunsa group pehle dun ya dono ek saath, kya classes ki jarurat hai, kya mujhe study plan change karna chahiye, kaunse subject me kam marks aa rahe hai.............and so on.

Believe me......ek baar aap ek group bhi clear karoge to confidence aa jayega. you will feel good man......... Aapke aakhri ke 1-2 mahine exams ke pahle bahut important hai. Agar aapne us samay ka sahi istamaal kiya, to aapke pass hone ke chances badh jaate hai.

All the best man and dont let distractions divert your mind. Yaad rakhna, ek baar aapne CA chhod diya, toh baadme agar man chahe kuch saalon baad vapas aakar karna itna aasaan nahi hai. Abhi aapke paas samay hai, parents support kar rahe hai, aap student ho, aapke paas momentum hai....................ek baar aap kamaane lagoge to itna jyada focus nahi kar paooge........OK. This is from other people's experience.

So, Dont worry, be happy. Work hard and clear your exams soon........ho jayega. Agar itne log kar sakte hai, to mai kyu nahi.

All the best.

If you are thinking of quitting so early then CA may not be your cup of tea. Sorry to say this, but CA is for people who have rock solid determination of succeeding. As for attempts, I read about someone here on caclub itself that even after scoring 50th rank in may 2010,the attempt which saw lowest pass percentage (before last exam),he wasnt able to land in a good job, whereas a neighbor of mine was placed through campus of icai in icici bank at 6lpa. So attempts dont matter as long as you are comfortable with the subjects u studied n have soft skills.
hii ronak...pls dont give up..even I completd ca after so many attempts..but ab jb apne naam ke age ca lgati hu to wo sare attempt bhul jati hu...
Never quit...remember Chartered Accountancy is the highest professional qualification in india in the financial world... it shoul be ur passion... don't just go for jobs , marks, attempts. . GO FOR KNOWLEDGE...since knowledge is something that can take u miles.. I am doing CA since I am amazed by the level of knowledge a CA has... !!!! Go for it
Ronak...I had rank in cpt , cleared PCC in one go....I was all India topper in informatics practices in 12th....n still m failing my finals again n again due to some unfavourable situations at home....due to fear of failing finals I started skipping attempts n all my CA friends got cleared n placed in good companies...I was shattered n went into depression...took psychological treatment for 2 years...n nowiI m back to hit icai hard....as far as u r concerned u have supportive family, my dad is no more...mom is housewife n my aunt does not supports my education so I even need to earn to sustain myself....still I m now in high spirits to crack it...if u want dis degree badly , such negative thoughts shall never attack ur mind...think about it again if being a girl m so strong y can't u be...m still preparing for finals....will keep on fighting unless I succeed...

If you are bored with it, quit

If you feel you are wasting money on exam fees, quit.

If you feel you are wasting time studying full day, then atleast go for part time work.

If you want to be a CA so that u can enjoy after seeing failures..go on.

Life is not only about success. In fact failure teahces us more than success. It teaches us how to be grounded, down to earth, humble, patient and strong.

So finally at the end of it, u r a CA plus a GOOD HUMAN BEING!! ab bol! quit karna hai???
