i started Management Consulting Services from 1st June 2009. I am going to raise invoice for my service before 10th July. My query is am I liable to deposit service tax that I would levy in my invoice (for service rendered in June) before July 5th?? Or my liabilty to pay is before Oct 5th (assuming I would receive payment in July)??

Service tax would b payable only when the person receives the payment for the services provided or to be provided.
so ur liability to pay service tax is on or before 5th oct
