My Question is would i buy this flat on the name of self , Wife or jointly. Note:- There is a tentative (less) possibility that after 1 year she may not work. I am planning to take a home loan of 34 lacs for the purchase of 44 lacs flat, My wife is independently getting this loan amount. Please Help/ Suggest Regards AAkash

Proper planning is required..... your remaining service period not clarified.....

It will be second house, your intention to let out/ rent income etc..... not known.......

Better consult an expert with all such details for effective tax planning...

24 years service is lefet for me and 30 years of  wife.

if i put my first house on rent then i will get some where 4-5 k

EMI of both the properties appx.?

Well, better purchase in joint name, so both have option to claim interest of home loans (after reducing rental income of one let out property) of Rs. 2 lakhs each.....

Sir,

Many thanks, in futrure if i want to sell the myname property then how it will be taxed as i will be having two house on my name.

Capital gains as per shares in the property (ies), if not specified then 50:50,,,,,
