I have been issued shares by a private limited company where I was working but no certificates were issued at that time (2002). The Company has since increased their share Capital and is also close to going public. My share agreement expires in September this year. What should I do to get my share certificates as they are not responding to my mails.

A PRIVATE LTD COMPANY CAN NOT ISSUE SHARES TO THE PUBLIC......
In order to check whether you are shareholder of the Company or not .
Go to MCA Site through public inspection of 20B (Annual Return), you can check whether in the register of Member you are Shareholder or not. Then take necessary action.
