Shareholding percent in case of partly paid up shares

Can anyone tell me how to calculate the shareholding percent of a shareholder in case of partly paid up shares?

For example, if the paid up share capital of a company comprises of 1,00,000 equity shares. The face value of each share being Rs. 10. Out of 1,00,000 shares, Rs. 10 has been paid on 50,000 shares and Rs. 2 has been paid on the remaining 50,000 shares (Rs. 8 on those partly paid up shares to be paid at a later date on call). The amount of paid up share capital being Rs. (50,000 x 10) + (50,000 x 2) = Rs. 6,00,000.

How to calculate the shareholding percentage of 10,000 shares on which Rs. 2 has been paid up? Will shareholding percentage be calculated on the basis of number of shares or the total amount paid up on shares?

Hi sumit.. You must be talking about Annual Return of Company.. Percentage of shareholders therein is based on number of shares held.. It has nothing to do with paid up value etc.. Even if any person has only partly paid d amt, still he is considered as a shareholder for this purpose.. (This answer I'm giving on basis of my working knowledge, other members pls rectify me if I'm wrong)
