wat is the procedure for the supplying the materials in SEZ units for traders. the party is saying that we have to apply gst in the bill evn though the taxes are nil for the sez unit and then later we can claim the same from the govt. Is the case so ? please suggest us what exactly can be done for making such supply.

sez supply is not exempted it is zero rated and hence gst registration is mandatory..

Registration to supply in SEZ is mandatory, even though the turnover is less than 20 lakhs,
Since SEZ areas are consideted separate tax territory and that can be viewed as Inter State Supplies,
Whereas to supply in SEZ there are two options with supplier
a.) Supply under bond or letter of undertaking
b.) Supply on payment of tax and later claim refund
Therefore onus to comply with the requirements/regulations now lies with supplier only as aginst SEZs under the legacy tax regime,
