for the f.y 2013-14 in the service tax return of oct -mar 14 assesee has shown a closing balance of cenvat credit unulitised. During the course of audit auditor pointed out to reverse the same due to wrong cenavt credit claimed and therefore nil amount was shown as cenvat recoverable as on 31.03.2014. in the return filled for apr -sep 14 assesee does not shown the opening balance of cenvat and after updoaing of return a message apper that The Opening Balance of CENVAT Credit of Service Tax entered in the current return not equal to
the Closing Balance of the immediately preceding return .in that case what preocdure to be follow to rectify the error

Simply give letter clarifying tbe issye to your service tax range
sir in such a case can we revise the service tax return showing last year closing balance of cenvat credit in the opening balance of cenvat credit and same can be shown in the I3.1.3.8 Column under heading other payment /adjustment/reversal.

Sir, i am running a Prop. Firm and having Service Tax registration under which we carry out 02 different type of business one is on-site Technical Manpower supply and charge them Service Tax as well. The other business is Online Trading like Jabong, etc. where they will charge us Service Tax on Comission & Couirer Services.
Just wanted to know will the Service Input credit (thru online Trading) will get set-off against Technical Manpoer supply, few peoples Yes and some says NO. Request your expert advice on this.
