I have following query.
1 My office hired Generator on rent. whether it comes under reverse charge mechnism?
2. whether advertisement comes under reverse charge? if yes then what is the rate of reverse charge?
3 our office make a contract with a firm for typing job. they charge Rs seven per page. whether it comes under reverse charge if yes then what is the rate.
1.Reverse charge mechanism is applicable only in case of motor vehicle hiring.Ihiring of generators on case of only service proider liable to pay ST.
2.Advertisement service is not covered under reverse charge mechanism.
3.Typing service also not covered under reverse charge mechanism.

Our office has 2 service tax registration number. One is old which has not been surrendered and both ST registration numbers are Active. We paid service tax mistakely through old registration no. but we haven't know password and Secret question's answers to login through old ST reg No.
What can we do to file return of ST Through new ST Reg No?
you make request for correction in challan at EASIEST site ...correct ST regn no...and also surrender old reg no.
Is it possible to rectify in Challan in case of e-payment ? if yes, then How?
