I want to know that what is the rate of percentage for service tax & VAT for residential flat & duplex in India? Also on which items service tax and VAT is applicable means on construction work or land or materials ?

On basic amount charged for construction of house it is @ 3.09%(ie after 75 % abatement on 12.36%) and on amount charged for preferabtial location it is12.36%. As notifiction provided above in case of property more then 1 crore or having abovve 2000 sq feet carpet area rate shall be 3.708% (ie after 70% abatement)and on plc it shall b same 12.36%.
