Dear member,

Is liabilty written off liable for service tax?

Do we need to pay service Tax  on such amount?  

Kindly help

Liability in case of service tax is determined by point of taxation rules.So if liability to pay has arisen as per the point of taxation then service tax has to be paid.

No, Liability written off is not liable for service tax as it doesn't qualify as definition of service provided in section 65B.
