Dear Friends,
Service tax on weighment charges is applicable from July 1, 2012. It was not under the service tax net earlier. Now, if a person wants to cliam SSI exemption, the turnover for which period would be relevant.
The person collected a total revenue of 15,00,000 during the period April 2011 to March 2012. However, this year he expects the turnover to be lower than 10L.
Please advise.
