Service tax payment through cash & cenvat

Hi Mahendra,

Can u tell for what month u have to make payment of service tax ?

Also make clear the position of cenvat credit...... as we can utilize only bal of cenvat credit by the end of the previous month for payment of service tax .

I am paying the service tax for the month of Nov 2011. cenvat credit by the end of the previous month is Rs.55/- now balance is zero.

Ok Mahendra,

U can adjust the balance of cenvat credit for payment of service tax.

Now u r saying that u will make balance payment by cash of rs. 45/-.

Then u have to make it by 5th Dec.

so u have to make payment with interest.

interest should be paid for the period 6th Dec. to 30th Dec @ 18% p.a.
