Please clear following lines written in Service Tax Act new amendments:-
GOODS WHERE AMOUNT CHARGED FOR THE THE TRASNPOTATION OF GOODS ON A CONSIGNMENT TRANSPORTED IN A SINGLE CARRIAGE DOES NOT EXCEED RS ONE THOUSAND AND FIVE HUNDRED?
GOODS WHERE AMOUNT CHARGED FOR THE THE TRASNPOTATION OF all such goods for a single consignee does not exceed rs seven hundred and fifty only /
i want to clarify theses two limits
i am working in a manufacturing unit and taking services from Transporters

Service tax on transportation charges limit

In the given statement the amount mentioned in it, exceeds the provision of service tax will be attracted. in other words exemption cannot be claimed for te aforesaid services

but i want to know that if i sent a material to a singel consingee in a singel track is it attract a limit of rs 750?? according to my friends plz comment on it
If you send a single consignment to any party and if the freight is above Rs.750, then Service Tax will be applicable.
If you are sending two or more than two consignment through a single vehicle, then the collective freight will be considered and not individually. If the freight of the vehicle crosses the mark of Rs.1500, Service Tax will be applicable i.e. even if the freight of one consignment is Rs.350 and the other consignment's freight is 1200 which are being transported through a single vehicle, Service Tax will be applicable on the collective freight.
