We are in shipbuilding business. We also take repair of barges .
I would like to know whether we have to charge service tax and under what head ( ie which service) we have to apply for registration.
Further if we can claim cenvat on repairs.

Dear Sushant,
Ship Repairs will come under Port Services - 65(105)(zz) if it be not covered under any contract or agreemnt . Yes youcan claim Cenvat in relates to that serivce only.
