Hi..
Can you tell me if any service tax would apply on hiring of office furniture and fixtures. I intend to pay the concerned party on a monthly basis (80,000 per month) for hiring furniture and fixtures.. So will TDS also apply on hiring of office furniture and fixtures.
Kindly help out with the service tax and TDS query

NO Service tax however VAT would be chargeable as the right to use goods is provided. In Karnataka the rate is 12.5%.
TDS I am not aware.
TDS is applicableu/s 194I if the rent for the equipment or furniture is likely to or exceeds Rs.120,000 per annum.
We have given Hired bases furniture and fixture to thired party, we have collect service tax from them?
Please suggest to me.
