A client of mine shall be Directing a film in her personal capacity wherein she shall received professional fees from the Production house. Assuming that her professional fee shall be more than Rs.10 lacs per annum would Service Tax be applicable on the client and if so under what head.
no service tax is not leviable on the artists or stars, it is leviable on producer companies who distribute their films digitally to various television channels and cinema halls.
No service tax on film directors and artists.
