How to respond to notice of superintendent of CBIC? Notice is based on IT return files. Assessee is unregistered under service tax! superintendent has arrived at demand with tax and penalty. SCN is not yet issued. How to go about it?

Income tax returns filed by you with turnover of Rs. 17 Lac but fail to apply for service tax registration ( Turnover Limit in Service Tax 10 Lac)

You are liable to pay penalty for non registration
