Can anyone please tell me at what rate should one charge service tax to the customers for the tickets directly booked through the online website of the low cost airlines like indigo, spice jet, etc.???
and what would be the taxable value for the same???
for some bookings we dont receive commission from the airlines but we compensate by charging Service Charges from the customer, so is that slao taxable under Air Travel Agents' Category???
taxable value of service tax on air travel ticket is difference between what you buy (either offline or online) and what is the addition on purchase value by you mean( if you buy one ticket of Rs. 10000 and you sell that ticket on Rs. 15000 then taxable value of service tax is Rs. 5000 x 12.36%:- 618.
Old method of service tax on air travel agent is changed that is 0.62% on domestic air ticket and 1.24% on International travel ticket
