Hi Friends,

I have one query about Service Tax Credit.

My company having two telephone connections.

Connection 1: Have director name & address as registered address of company;

Connection 2: Have name of Company but address mentioned as Director's Home address.

Can you tell me which of the above connection's liable for Service Tax Credit???

The connections used for business purpose are eligible to claim credit

Both connections or any one of these???

If address of director's home is mentioned but if the connection is used for business purpose, then it is eligible for cenvat credit. It is the use and not the place that matters.

Input credit of both services can be availed on a condition that both services are used for business purposes & payment of both services are made from company.

On both the cases you can avail credit, unless any of the connection is fully used for the personal use of director and not covered by terms of employment.

The connections in the name of company are eligible to claim credit
