I wanted to know if there is any provision in Finance Act 1994, as amended till date, relating to audit of service tax assessees.
If no, under which rule of law the Dept. is conducting audit through audit cell.
Can any one kinldy discuss

There is no provision under Finance Act directly on the matter. Many sections of Central Excise Act is imported in to FA. May be covered under one of such provisions.
