A taxable service shall be treated as Export of service if-

Such service is provided from india and used outside india

                       AND

Payment of such service is received in CONVERTIBLE FOREIGN exchange.

But sir i am referring a book in which they say if services is provided in relation to a immovable assets which is located outside India,it shall be treated as export of service irrespective that payment is being received in Indian currency.

It is an export of service indeed

but for the purpose of service tax it will not be treated as export for claiming exemption, since the payment is not received in convertible forex......
