Service charge

I have come back from oct 2015, I have not purchased any assets after that. I have asked CA here near by to file tax return. He told me he need 10 years of bank statement. He told he will charge around RS. 2500 per year for the past three years it will cost around rs.7500. I was not having any income that time for 1 year. So I left it in the air.

I got a job in october 2016, at a salary of rs.35000 per month, they have deducted TDS not mentioning the amount deducted, Now june 2017, I went back to the same auditor because Since I got  job in india, stating rs.6000 as salary total no breakup given. The same auditor told he will charge rs.2500 per year. Without NRE account involvement.  Do you think it is reasonable.

Thanks

Krishna

First and formost, inform bank about your returning back to India, so that your NRE account gets converted to normal account.

Secondly, as per form 16 issued by your employer check whether the TDS amount  is credited to your PAN, as reflected under form 26AS.

If everything ok, try to find out any other consultant and file this one year's ITR.

As you were not employed in earlier year, the liability to file return of that year may not arise. Prior to that you cannot file.......
