Yes, you may carry out both trading and service activities from a single GSTIN
Yes you can do service and trading for a single GST number as it is PAN india based
Yes you can do service and trading with one gst number but you mandatory add HSN/sac detail same in gst registration
So what is the purpose of specifing nature of business activity in gst portal????
Objective is to identify the core business of the registered person. Select the one that is the main activity.

The core activity shall be selected on the basis of highest turnover of each activity.
