My father will be completing 65 on 20/03/09 (almost at the year end) and will become senior citizen as per Income Tax Law. Will he be entitled for all benefits and tax slabs for Senior Citizens for the whole financial year 08-09 ??

Yes, Definitely he is entitled for all benefits available to a senior citizen as he is completing the age of 65 yrs during d FY 2008-09.
it doesnt matter at all tht he is attaining the age of 65 yrs at the last month of FY.
Yes He will be entitled for all the benifit.
