Yes, you can do that through self study

Dear Swati, as your attempt is in May 2013 so there is sufficient time to prepare yourself for the examinations. In my Opinion for IDT, Yogendra Bangar's Student Guide to Indirect Taxes is the best  book for self study purpose. it provides the entire coverage of syllabus. i read the same book & scored 65 marks in IDT which is not bad i think.........!!! You should also keep yourself updated time to time....

Best Wishes...

yes you can start self study friend. start from basics and valuation chapter and then you know some thing about IDT. then no advices required for you to study the IDT your self, be cause just it is a phobia. just start from basics friend, you can prepare your own. start with yogendra bangar's book. All the best .......................................................
